You cannot input an address in the navigation system if the vehicle is moving, but you can access every other part of the HUD controls from the climate controls to the radio and your phone. You have to be stopped to input an address in the navigation system, even if there is someone in the passenger seat. The vehicle can tell when someone is sitting there but not wearing their seat belt but not allow them to input an address.
