The vehicle is spacious but does not feel too large to handle well. The vehicle is sophisticated and comfortable to drive long distance but also has towing and off-road capability. The vehicle feels capable and safe while towing our Airstream travel trailer. I'm very pleased with the vehicle.

Continue to make improvements to the organization and efficiency of the interior... My husband's Escalade has many more compartments to keep things organized in the door, cup holders in the doors, bucket 2nd row seats, air conditioned seats, heads up display standard, much more functional DVD system that is controlled from front console and can use head phones OR car's audio system. Mercedes Benz needs to keep in mind that the GLS SUV is often purchased by busy moms who want all the luxury, convenience and easiest day to day loading of kids/ groceries and need LOTS of spots for organization (cup holders, phone holder, large console compartment), NOT a control knob to change from comfort to sport ride. This change took away a valuable spot to put phone, change, drink, etc. Continue to think like a busy mom.

I really like and trust the engineering and workmanship that has gone into my vehicle. I trust that my vehicle has quality parts and will perform as advertised. I am very impressed and pleased with the power and performance of my car throughout the entire power band. The GLS550 is actually a very good tow vehicle also. I also believe that my vehicle will hold it's value when I decide to trade for another. I am very pleased with my new GLS550 as a high quality utility vehicle and as a tow vehicle; however, I would like a more user friendly placement of the trailer electrical connector receptacle (instead of under the vehicle where I have to get on my knees to access it).
