Used 2018 Honda CR-V EX-L for Sale in

We have an extremely long rugged driveway and needed a car that had high clearance, was rugged, but comfortable and drives like a car, not a truck. So far, we are happy with our purchase. This is our first Honda. We bought it because of it was the most likely to make it over 200,000 with out repairs, good safety rating and high clearance. We helped our daughter buy a Honda Accord. Our daughter loves her car and staff where she took it for oil changes were nice, so we started doing research on the CRV. If both vehicles last a long time and are reliable we will replace them with another Honda in about 5 years.

Time will tell, we've only had this CRV about 3 months and have only put about 400 miles on it so far. We made one trip of about 200 miles round trip carrying our Daughter and Granddaughter as passengers and it performed well. I do wish we could have gotten a sunroof and leather seats without having to add the expense of the full upgrade package to get them. I would also like to have some of the confusing, unwanted things removed like the brake hold switch and eco switch so I don't accidentally activate them. I was told something about the traction control that one mode was better than the other and I shouldn't change it unless under some specific condition I need to. If that is the case why don't you just set it how it should be and eliminate the indicator and switch altogether? Also the usb is in an inconvenient place, seems it should be with the other radio controls. While I'm thinking about it, AM radio seems to be ignored these days. The best stations are on AM, can their tuning and reception be improved?

Bought it for utility use to replace the Altima. Plan to have it 10+ years. It is a second vehicle, I consider it a "transportation appliance". I wanted either Honda or Toyota and went with the Honda, mostly because it seemed just a bit larger and more powerful. The idea that it may be a little easier to work on also helped with the decision. Probably the best thing I've discovered is that it uses a standard spin on oil filter instead of the cartridge types a lot of mfg. are using now; I hate those. My tundra truck has a big edge in that department because the oil filter is on top of the engine and much easier to access and replace. I have noticed that of all the vehicles I've owned (I'm 66, have had 20+) this one has been one of the hardest to "learn" and has the WORST FUEL ECONOMY of any of them. Yes, it gets a consistent 29-30 mpg, but the fuel tank is so tiny, that we are constantly in a panic trying to keep fuel in it. If I had realized that before buying it , that may have been a deal killer. We've had it over 9 mos. now and still trying to find and figure out some of the controls and how they work. A lot of it is just "gadgetry" that I wish I could just do away with so it doesn't complicate things (tpms, econ switch, hard to access reset knob for odometer, unused dash menu items, Bluetooth, etc.) In that regard it would be very nice if it were possible to customize those things so you only have the features you want and use and the others are masked away so they don't distract. It does drive and perform well, so that is a big plus that I'm happy with. My experience with Honda Motorcycles had a lot to do with buying this vehicle. I hope it lives up to their stellar engineering, mfg. quality, dependability, performance and maintainability. I would like to have information (maybe classes) that go over how the systems work and how to work on them. Ex., I was told this had electric braking, but I notice it still has a brake reservoir which would indicate it is hydraulic. How does all that work? The fuel economy is a big failure, is it possible to get a larger fuel tank to increase range? The interior is a big disappointment as cloth was the only choice unless ordering a high end trim package. I'll probably end up getting aftermarket leather, but a darker colored, non absorbent, easier to keep clean material as an option would have been a big plus. Also, pleas stop referring to this as an "SUV". An SUV would be a Blazer, Explorer, Jeep, Hummer, etc. Something with a frame, separate drive components (engine, transmission, front and rear differentials, transfer case, etc.) intended for heavy duty and off road use. This vehicle is a "mamma-mobile". A small minivan actually. Anyone that says it is an SUV and believes that needs to be relieved of their Man card.
