Love the comfort, workmanship, handling, safety features (car-in-blindspot warning), GREAT headlights (important because I have poor night vision).

I really love my car, with the exception of the navigational system, which does not stand up to my previous experiences. Namely, the timing for some of its spoken instructions has gotten me into trouble more than once...either it comes too early or too late. It also does not tell me how to get across a divided highway to my destination. Very difficult to get to know the system. Some nearby destinations are impossible to program. I really do not like the system compared with others I have had. For instance, Google Maps on my phone works MUCH better.. It's difficult for me to reach the driver's interior door handle when getting into the car. It's a long way to reach for me. I'm average height on the short side.

It handles well, is very comfortable, is nicely appointed, fairly attractive, LOVE the blind spot warning.

The voice-activation system is a disappointment. I previously owned a TL with voice activation. The TL system was much more robust than the one in my RDX. It had much greater scope and was more flexible. The cargo space, with the back seats in place is a bit narrow and short. I can't get my golf clubs in sideways. I could do that in my TL. Other than those two shortcomings I really like the car.

I traded in a 2009 Acura TL when I purchased this RDX. The TL was, overall, a better vehicle. The voice-activation system in the TL was far superior to the one in the RDX. The TL was more intuitive and much more flexible and versatile. It did many more things that I found very useful. The RDX system is much too limited in what it can control and display. The TL was a more solid feeling vehicle. It wasn't perfect but it was better in many respects.

I like the vehicle overall. It gives me most if not all the safety and convenience features I want at a reasonable price. The only downside is voice recognition. The system is OK but is actually worse than the one in my last vehicle which was a lesser model from the same manufacturer. The manufacturer did not improve the system, it made the system worse. Other manufacturers have now passed Acura in this regard. The vehicles should get better over time. Not all aspects of the 2016 Acura are improvements over the 2009 model year.

I love my new ride, gives me everything I wanted in a new vehicle. One minor disappointment was the size of the fuel tank. I am used to a greater range than the 16-gallon tank delivers (my Volvo sedan has an 18-gallon tank with a 500-mile range on the highway). Still learning many of the systems, so it is difficult to accurately assess.

I am impressed with the ride and durability of the vehicle I purchased. Although driven infrequently (I have another vehicle), it delivers a very comfortable ride. Absolutely no maintenance problems to date. I really like the smoothness and comfort of the ride. My focus was mainly on the reputation of the manufacturer (Honda/Acura has an excellent reputation for reliability and durability), looks, and comfort. Most midsize SUVs are very similar in appearance, but I liked the RDX and especially the color. First dark colored vehicle I have owned in many years.
