The Mark 8 is a BIG advance over the 7.5 which was my previous GTI. The ride is more refined whether in comfort or sports, the cornering better with sharper turn in and less body roll, acceleration is better and the powerband more useable. Although many have complained about the infotainment system, I don't have a problem with it's design or functionality.
cons
Nothing except the gas saving feature, which kills the engine at stoplights, should always be off instead of on. To get around this, I leave the vehicle's "on-off" for this under vehicle status as the last screen I view, so that when I crank up the engine, before I even put the car into reverse, this comes on. With one touch I turn it off.
