I'm told it handles much better than older Jeep models that had more of a truck feel. This is the first Jeep I've owned, so I can't speak to the comparison, but I do like it and it handles very well.
cons
The hard-top roof is very heavy and difficult to maneuver. I wish I got the newer roof that folds back easily, but it wasn't available yet when I purchased.

It flat tows easily and can off-road well.
cons
No memory for seats and mirrors, manual settings for seats, pay for internet remote start, no automation for opening / closing rear hatch, and no electronic way to close external mirrors... all convenience features.

Fantastic update to the Wrangler - much more refined than the previous generation. It now has all the features you'd expect in a "modern" vehicle. Its on-road performance is still, well, Wrangler-like, but that's the cost of its unparalleled off-road performance.
cons
It's a Wrangler. It's a big brick, and on the road it handles like one. Road noise, while better than the JK series, is still a thing. While the JL is much more refined, it is still (and probably should be) a little unrefined around the edges.
