When I pressed "Lock" on my 2008 Pilot Electronic Key, the horn blew. This was great for finding the vehicle in large parking lots. The 2018 Pilot has a very low "Beep" & is no use in locating the vehicle. I think this is a step backwards & suggest you consider going back to having the horn blow. Also, you can't check to confirm your vehicle is in fact locked from a distance because you can not hear the "Beep".

Pilots are great vehicles. Prior to buying our 2018 Pilot we had a 2008 Pilot for 10 years. It was reliable, safe, versatile & comfortable on daily, local drives, mid range trips (Canada) & long, round trips of 3000 plus miles to Key West, Florida. Based on advances in Honda engineering, we expect our 2018 Pilot to perform even better than our 2008 Pilot. Bring back the "Beeping Horn" associated with the Remote Start "Lock" button. Add an audible warning to the Engine Oil warning light. Increase the audible sound volume associated with the Turn Signals: I can't hear the audible & as a result, I leave the Turn Signals on & this has safety implications. Make the Tilt Down Side Mirrors Optional on at least the AWD EX-L NAV Pilot models.

Pilot has good interior room and cargo space. Rides well, just wish acceleration was not so sluggish.

Good reliable brand, good resale value, not too expensive on maintenance and parts, good family vehicle with 3rd row seat or lots of cargo room. The Honda Pilot, unfortunately, is sluggish upon acceleration, pauses in the transmission when changing gears from reverse to drive, and noisy in the rear axles when going over bumps. Sounds like a lumber wagon in the rear of car when going over ANY bump. Had all these complaints checked out at dealership and told nothing wrong, all normal. I like the interior of the SUV and the features, but the rough drive and rear axle noise are not what I was expecting out of a higher-end Honda SUV. Also, the vehicle makes loud noises when shifting gears after acceleration. Told this was normal for all the gears that it goes through when starting acceleration. I will not buy another Honda Pilot in the future because of these issues.

Great for driving in rural and urban settings. Learn how to use and not use the automatic setting to open all windows off the key fob. It cannot be disabled, and can create an unknown disaster in a rainstorm. If you live rurally, you'll want them to teach you how to turn oncoming traffic sensors off, as curvy roads interfere with their safety systems.
