APPLE CARPLAY INTEGRATION The 2018 Honda Fit EX has a nice size screen -- but Honda's Apple CarPlay integration REALLY STINKS. - When it boots, there's a lawyer message. Why would you want that to be my first impression EVERY SINGLE TIME I TURN ON THE CAR? - Most of the time when I connect via USB, it recognizes my phone. But sometimes not. And it SAYS it only connects with the USB under the screen, but sometimes it gets confused and links with the USB port in the driver's bin. - Whenever it connects, it cuts off the FM radio I'm listening too and ASSUMES that I must want to play something off my phone. If I'm not already playing something on my phone, it just randomly starts up whatever I was listening to a day or two ago -- music, a podcast, whatever. Why does it do that?? If I want to listen to phone music or podcast, I can select it myself. - And then when it turns off the FM and starts CarPlay, I have to hit THREE BUTTONS, over 10 seconds, to get the FM turned back on as the source. What a pain!!!!! - It's probably Apple's fault, but it stinks that only Apple maps will show up on the car screen. I like Waze. Or for #2, Google maps. - WHY, when it's just an incoming text, or when I open the Waze app, does the phone take over the sound system? I have to plan opening Waze for a time when they aren't saying anything important on the radio. Stupid. - The text-to-speech works REALLY SLOWLY, and the speech-to-text doesn't work at all. (Maybe it's because this car is pretty noisy?) By really slowly, I mean, my phone will ding and then a banner will come up on the screen saying incoming text. Then I'll pick up the phone, read the text, and key in a reply and send it. And THEN the text-to-speech will start speaking the text. And all I can say when it finishes and asks if I now want to reply is "no". - Why when I haven't yet connected my phone to the USB, does it give me a banner asking me to connect my phone? Does it MISS me? - It can't handle two phones with Bluetooth capability. It LOOKS like it can, with a phone management page, but it can't. If I want to switch between my two iPhones, e.g. make a business call on the business phone, I have to go into my personal iPhone and disconnect from the Bluetooth, and only THEN will it let me connect the other phone. I should be able to easily pick from the two on a screen menu. Or whatever phone I'm making a call on just takes over. - Honda Apps. When I first got the car, I downloaded and installed them all. HondaLink. HondaLink App Launcher. Honda CabinControl. I even tried an Accura app, which didn't do anything. As far as I can tell, HondaLink does NOTHING except prevent me from looking at my phone. It automatically pops out and blocks my phone screen so I can't see anything else. Then I tell it to dismiss itself. And even then it doesn't want to give me back my phone. It asks me to confirm that "I am safe". (Utter nanny-state B.S.) And then, finally, it goes to a screen showing where I parked, if that's what I've been doing. Just STOP and give me back my phone!! I have uninstalled HondaLink. I HATE it. If I want to not look at my screen, I'll just not look at my screen, I don't need Honda to prevent me. OTHER FEEDBACK - The gas tank is WAY too small. I drive 130 miles a day, and I get about 270-290 miles from 1 tank. So, I'm refueling three times a week. How about a few more gallons capacity??? 14? Or even 12? - My estimated miles of range is never right. Even when I let it get down to 4 miles to go, approx 1/10 gallon, there's really 1 to 1-1/2 gallons left, about 33-47 miles. - The right side blind spot camera is REALLY AWESOME! - The left side blind spot is REALLY BAD. I can't see very much at all out of the left mirror, and have to turn my body around and peer out the left side of my peripheral vision to catch cars in the blind spot. How about another camera like the awesome right side camera? - The car is a bit noisy and the suspension pretty primitive. But it's cheap. I guess that's the tradeoff. - Less than 3 months old, I'm already starting to see a few tiny pits in the paint job. It's like the paint is really thin and really weak. I am disappointed and apprehensive. - The front air dam (under the front bumper, near the ground) is too low. It scrapes some times, either parking, or going through a dip. - I use the heck out of the driver assist features. Thank you for developing them. It was why I bought the Honda instead of a Nissan, Toyota, or Ford. - On the other hand, what the heck is the difference between LKAS (lane keeping assist system) and RDM (road departure mitigation system)? I have read the manual, and been driving this for almost 3 months, and watched Honda videos on both systems, and I still have NO IDEA why there are 2 systems keeping me in my lane, or what each of them does. Why not combine them into one feature, since they both do the same thing?

Great value. Good MPG. Awesome driver assist features. CarPlay integration with iPhone works, but has MAJOR flaws.

Lighter interior colors for desert areas would be a bonus.

The roof support beam between the door and windshield wider in 2018 Fit compared to 2009 and is obstruction of vision. this has caused blind spot and can't see pedestrians in cross walk unless you look around it.I liked the gas door that was push spring from outside of car. Hate gas handle under dash board as next to hood latch and have opened hood many times. Can't see latch unless you get out of car to look under dash. Both of these issues are BIG SAFETY ISSUES. I don't understand why Fit doesn't come with remote start.
