The design (inside and out) is beautifully executed, and quality of assembly is great. There's always a car with more power, which is rarely used, but the great design is a constant joy, and the G80 stands out from the crowd of generic good cars in its class, at a lower price point. Power is more than adequate with the smaller engine, which is not designed to be thrown around like a sports car, and fuel economy is much improved over the previous generation with the thirsty V6's. Driver assist functions are unobtrusive, which means you leave them engaged, and they do their job.

A few features are omitted from the sensibly-priced Advanced trim level that should be included, such as wireless charging and leather seats.

Fit and finish in the interior is very upscale and usually found in more expensive cars. Exterior design very good.

Info screen is a little hard to navigate. Radio controls are hard to understand.
