I hope I enjoy my new 2018 BMW as much as I enjoyed my 2015 !!

It's a beautiful car with all the up to date features.....however, if you are a very short person like me, 5'2"....the drivers seat DOESN'T go up high enough for a small person !! This also causes a problem when your trying to "grab" your seat belt to pull around you and lock!! Aside from that, it's really a great car!! The drivers seat is really a big problem. I realize I can sit on a pillow....but you spend all this money for beautiful leather seats , who wants to sit on a pillow????? It also causes some obstruction with the sideview mirrors!! I didn't have this problem with my 2015 BMW, and the color was a beautiful silvery/gold, they do not carry this fantastic shade anymore I was told. Other than this major problem, I do love the car, but if something is not corrected with the seat, I guess this will have to my last BMW.

My X3 M40i was expensive- let's get that out of the way first. The "smarter" choice would have been the 4-cylinder model. But I love the power, the sound, the acceleration, the silky adaptive suspension, the sharp handling. To me, it was worth the extra money. And taken together with the refined interior and sharp, clean looks ( but not flashy or showy), you get a personal, comfortable rocket of a car with a little extra cargo capacity and 4-wheel sure-footedness for inclement weather.

Overall excellent. Very minor comments on the vehicle itself 1) seat belt on passenger side rattles when no passaenger is sitting as metal buckle hit the hard plastic on insider of B pillar 2) the fan speed button for HVAC should be larger and easier to operate 3) the rear hatch latch feels light and cheap, no solid and sturdy like the old X3 4) the steering vibration on lane departure warning system is very weak (even when adjusted to mximum setting); the warning is too gentle, if driver is drousy, the degree of vibration not enough to jolt driver into a reaction and no audible warning option exists for lane departure

The original MSRP for the 2018 BMW X3 started at $43,645 for the 30i and went up to $55,495 for the M40i.
The 2018 BMW X3 30i gets 25 combined MPG, per EPA estimate.
