Very well made, great engine, fun to drive, outstanding transmission, all controls works smoothly and are well made. Standard stereo in very good, would have liked the upgraded stereo. Not completely happy with no spare tire. 40-50 more horsepower, better stereo (re: more speakers, better speakers, more power), and throatier exhaust would be perfect! Still the best small crossover on the market! Very happy! I hope BMW makes an X1 next year with a bigger engine so I can buy another car!

I would love to be able to connect google maps on my Iphone to my vehicle navigation system and enter address on my phone but be able to get directions through my car GPS. Entering address through vehicle system is a pain and not necessary. Also when my Iphone is paired up with the car, I would like to be able to control some other features via my phone instead.

Smart, fun, and joy - those three words I chose to describe my beloved X1. Every time I got into my car, I have a smile on my face. Driving it is such a pleasure. Perfect fit for me. And it is such a good looking car too! I feel smitten! LOL! Best chose I've ever made! Connection to the smartphone ( iPhone) could be much improved! I rented a Hyundai recently, they have apple connect. You plug your phone and all your phone apps are available on the vehicle screen, including Google Maps, Itunes and more. Currently, Pandora connection in my car is faulty. Sometimes it shows error. And you can't access it on the phone once car Bluetooth paired with the phone. Lots of improvement needed with phone connection. Also, the trunk opening/closing automation sometimes acts funky. At times I am in the middle of getting my stuff from the trunk and it starts beeping and closing it on me! It is super annoying. On a few occasions after getting my bags from the trunk I pushed lock button, it closed the trunk door and then trunk re-opened about 30% (not to the full extent) and stuck in this weird state. It happened a few times. I understand it is designed to be "smart" but something not working right at times.

Bmw is way behind in technological amenities. Be careful. Step it up. I am disappointed in my car. My husbands' 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee has more amenities.
