I love everything about this car except the gear shift engagement. The gears seem way too clunky and jump around. I am assuming it may mean transmission problems down the road. Also the Bluetooth in-dash phone is horrible. Way behind other cars' technology. My 2015 Nissan is much better. Surprising and disappointing.

Without a doubt Acura lost its dominance in sedan luxury space for the past 2 generations of the TL model to the point where continuously unreliable transmission systems continue to haunt the line up. However with 2017 and above, the brand is genuinely trying to improve the overall quality although not the best. Acura could have done better by including features like remote starter as part of tech package, better quality back up camera (green appears grey) . Acura needs to improve the quality of OEM fitted Eagle LS1 tires. The factory equipped tires are just an insult to overall experience. Other interior improvements like cloth surface on sun visor can be better material like leatherette. It is also high time that few basic features from Honda's lineup like turn signal camera be integrated with Acura TLX's basic lineup.

The engine of my 7-month-old car sounds terrible, I have taken it twice now for something to do with idling of the engine.
